Routine Inspections

Does your management company currently do yearly Inspections?

When was the last time you found out about the condition of a property?

If you manage a property yourself, when was the last time you went through the property?

Are you sure you went over everything you were supposed to?

At HomeTeam Property Management our company has dedicated inspection staff that goes through each property to verify the condition, safety inspection and to make sure that the tenant is compliant with the lease agreement they have on file.

Here is a brief explanation of what we look for:

Verify the Condition
We want to make sure that the tenant is keeping the property in good order and any items that need repair or need to be replaced are done so to prevent additional damage.

Safety
As a management company we want to make sure all smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers are in place and in working order. We inspect the property every 6 months to make sure all of these items are in place. In addition to these items we may also look for the following types of issues:

  • Brush--potential fire issue
  • Cracked windows
  • Lighting
  • Missing/non-functioning smoke detectors

NO!!! YES!!!

Lease Agreement Compliance
We look to make sure that the proper number of tenants, compliance with pet policies and HoA rules and regulations are being followed.

We feel that by maintaining open communications with tenants combined with routine inspections keeps costs low, maintains the property condition and reduces liability for our clients.
